Chinese president makes his first visit to Wuhan, City at center of Coronavirus epidemic

SANAA, March 10 (YPA) – Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Wuhan for a surprise visit that marks his first trip to the epicenter of the coronavirus epidemic now spreading around the globe since the health crisis began, state broadcaster China Central Television reported Tuesday.

Mr. Xi arrived by airplane for a trip to visit front-line medical workers, military personnel and community workers.
The Chinese health authorities announced that the death toll from the new corona virus in the country has risen to 3136 after 17 new deaths were recorded during the past 24 hours, while confirmed infections exceeded 80,754 cases, and nearly 60,000 were cured after treatment.
