Deputy PM opens water projects at 6 bln riyals cost in Hodeidah

HODEIDAH, Nov. 10 (YPA) – Deputy Prime Minister for Services Affairs and Development Dr. Hussein Maqbouli and Minister of Water and Environment Nabil al-Wazir on Sunday opened a number of water projects in Hodeidah province at a total cost of 6.3 billion riyals.

At the opening of the projects, which were funded by the World Bank and the German Development Bank through UNICEF and UNOPS, Dr. Maqbouli and al-Wazier were briefed by Director of the Local Corporation for Water and Sanitation in the province Abdulrahman Ishaq on the projects that have been opened and those are being implemented.

Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the importance of these service projects that touch citizens’ needs in the province and alleviate their suffering due to the continued aggression and siege.

For his part, Minister of Water commended the support and funding of the World Bank, the German Development Bank, UNICEF and UNOPS for the implementation of these service and development projects.
