UAE-backed officer survives assassination attempt in Aden

ADEN, Sept. 3 (YPA) – A senior officer loyal to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) survived on Tuesday an assassination attempt in Yemen’s southern province of Aden, according to local sources.

The sources reported that gunmen opened fire during the passage of Colonel Ali Askar while passing by his car near Al-Rehab tour in Al-Arish area of Khor Maksar.
