Army’s Spokesman: Yemeni army can actually bomb Khartoum

SANAA, April 18 (YPA) – Yemen army’s spokesman Brigadier General Sharaf Luqman on Wednesday said that the Yemeni army could actually bomb the Sudanese capital, Khartoum.

In a statement to the Russian news agency Sputnik, Lukman explained that such military decision is up to the political authority, and it is the one who can give the order to strike any capital of the countries participating in the war on Yemen.

“We did not threaten to strike Khartoum, although their forces are fighting in the first rows on our land in Yemen,” said Lugman, adding that the decision has not been taken yet.

The spokesman said such threats have not been issued by any of the official authorities and that what has been circulated in this regard is just opinions of political and military analysts.

“The Sudanese people are not our enemy,” he added.

Yemen is witnessing widespread anger against the backdrop of a rape crime committed a Sudanese soldier fighting under the command of the UAE officers in the West Coast against a Yemeni girl in Khokha district of Hodaida province.

The Sudanese street is also witnessing a wave of claims and pressure on the government of Omar al-Bashir to withdraw its troops from the war in Yemen.
