Health Ministry launches national polio immunization campaign

SANAA, Nov. 26 (YPA) – Ministry of Public Health and Population on Monday launched the second stage of the national polio immunization campaign during (26-28 November) in the capital Sanaa and provinces.

The campaign targets over 5.5 million children under the age of five, who have been immunized, as well as newborns to reduce the return of polio virus to Yemen.

The campaign is being implemented by the National Program on Expanded Immunization, in collaboration with WHO, UNICEF and the Vaccine Alliance.
