SANAA, July 05 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning issued important alerts and warnings to citizens on Saturday regarding weather developments and rainfall in Yemen.
In its weather bulletin, the center warned citizens in areas expected to receive rainfall of thunderstorms and the presence or crossing of torrents during rainfall.
It warned also fishermen, and ship captains of high waves around the Socotra Archipelago, the Gulf of Aden, and the eastern and southern coasts.
The center urged citizens to avoid direct exposure to the sunshine in deserts and coastal areas as a result of extremely hot weather.
It clarified that clear to partly cloudy weather, with the scattered showers, in parts of the provinces of Ibb, Taiz, Dhalea, Bayda, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa and Hadramaut, as well as Rayma, Dhamar, Sanaa, Mahweet, Hajjah, Amran, Saadah, Jawf and Mahra.
The center’s bulletin affirmed that winds, with a maximum speed of 50 knots on the Socotra Archipelago, the Gulf of Aden and the southern and eastern coasts, may be active.
