Minister of Electricity opens 2nd Solar Energy Conference & Exhibition in Sanaa

SANAA, July 10 (YPA) – Minister of Electricity and Energy Lutf al-Jarmuzi opened on Wednesday the 2nd Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition in Yemen, organized by Angela Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Response, at Sanaa University.

The five-day exhibition aims at clarifying the importance of renewable energy in the development and sustainable development and its positive impact on Yemeni society and the environment.

With wide participation of civil society organizations, academicians and researchers, the conference held on the sidelines of the exhibition discusses the challenges facing the renewable energy in Yemen and its applications and future prospects, as well as the organizations’ role in rising awareness about the importance of renewable energy in the sustainable development and in protecting the environment.
