Protesters cut off streets in Mukalla to protest power cuts

HADRAMOUT, June 2 (YPA) – Angry protesters on Sunday cut off a number of main and sub-roads in Mukalla city of Hadramout province, eastern Yemen.

“Protestors blocked a number of main streets in Mukalla to protest the ongoing power cuts, and they prevented the passage of cars in several streets and set fire them,” informed sources said.

The province of Hadramout has been witnessing an increase in the power cuts recently, especially in the summer season and extreme heat, in light of the control of the Emirati/Saudi-backed militias on the province since the aggression on Yemen in 2015.
