Industry Minister meets UN official
SAADA, Nov. 17 (YPA) – Minister of Industry and Trade, Abdulwahab Yahya Al-Durra, on Saturday met with the head of the United Nations Humanitarian Access Coordination Unit, Keith Stanski.
In the meeting, the officials reviewed the challenges, economic requirements and the damage caused to the economic sector as a result of targeting the coalition to factories and vital installations.
Al-Durra called on the United Nations to neutralize all factories in Yemen and to keep them away from targeting and bombing as they represent an important economic artery for Yemenis.
Al-Durra pointed to the magnitude of the economic disaster caused by the targeting of grain silos, port of Hodeidah and a number of food, medical and development plants by the coalition.
Al-Durra appreciated the efforts made by the United Nations in this regard, expressing his hope to continue these efforts, neutralize all economic establishments and to maintain their pace of production and the safety of the employees.
In his turn, Stanski expressed his readiness to exert efforts to neutralize the factories of Yemen from targeting and stand with the Ministry of Industry in the implementation of a number of economic projects in accordance with the available resource.
