GAZA, June 12 (YPA) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has reported that more than 2,700 children under the age of five in Gaza are suffering from acute malnutrition, as the humanitarian crisis in the besieged enclave deepens.
In a statement, UNRWA highlighted that only one medical point is partially functioning in northern Gaza, while fuel supplies are critically low, further hampering humanitarian operations.
The agency reaffirmed its readiness to deliver large-scale humanitarian assistance in cooperation with other UN bodies, stressing that civilians should not have to risk their lives in search of food.
UNRWA also called on “Israel” to cooperate by providing evidence regarding serious allegations made against the agency.
