CIA Director travels to Turkey for Khashoggi investigation

SANAA, Oct. 23 (YPA) – CIA Director Gina Haspel traveled to Turkey to work on the investigation into the death of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, A familiar source with the issue told Reuters.

US President Donald Trump said on Monday that he has senior intelligence officials in Turkey, without mentioning details.

He said: “I spoke with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. We have people in Saudi Arabia now. We have senior intelligence officers in Turkey, we’ll see what we have, and I’ll know a lot tomorrow. ”

Meanwhile, six US officials said they believe the Saudi crown prince is ultimately responsible for the disappearance of Khashoggi, because of his role in supervising the Saudi security apparatus, but they lack strong evidence.
