SANAA, Oct. 22 (YPA) – Germany will suspend exports of military equipment to Saudi Arabia as uncertainty continued over the fate of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Sunday.
During a campaign for her party in local elections, Merkel repeated at a news conference her earlier condemnation of Khashoggi’s death after Saudi Arabia admitted his death inside her consulate in Istanbul.
According to the agency “Reuters”, Merkel condemned the crime of killing Khashoggi, adding that there is an urgent need to clarify what happened and while they are far from clarifying what happened and accounting the officials but with regard to arms exports, can not take place in the current circumstances.
