PM discuss Spanish MSF humanitarian activities in Yemen

SANAA, Sept. 29 (YPA) – Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtour on Saturday discussed with head of Spanish Doctors Without Borders (MSF) mission in Yemen the organization’s humanitarian activities in Yemen.

The meeting dealt with the humanitarian role of the Spanish mission in alleviating the suffering of Yemeni people through providing medical and therapeutic services in a number of hospitals and health centers in the provinces of Saada, Hajjah, Hodeidah and the capital Sanaa, as well as its participation in the fight against cholera.

The meeting also touched on the health challenges facing Hodeidah province due to the escalation of the Saudi-UAE coalition forces in the western coast.

In this regard, Dr. Bin Habtoor called on the MSF organization to open a branch in Hodeidah and coordinate with Minister of Public Health to determine the needs.

He confirmed the government’s keenness to enhance all factors of stability and expand human activities, and address any problems facing the humanitarian work.
