3 civilians killed, injured in grenade blast in Abyan

ABYAN, Sept. 29 (YPA) – A child was killed and two others injured on Saturday as a grenade exploded in al-Mahfad district in the Southern province of Abyan, local sources told Yemen Press Agency.

According to a medical source, the child Fahd Ahmed Mahdi Aoufa was killed; two others were injured, after a grenade exploded in their home, in the village of al-Arqeen village, in the district of Mahfad.

This comes as a result of family carelessness by leaving the killing tools within the reach of children.

The sources said the injured children were taken to Nasser Mohammed Hospital in the district.
