Iran revokes entry visas for Omani citizens

TEHRAN, Sept. 23 (YPA) – Iran’s ambassador to Oman, Mohammad Reza Noori Shahroudi, announced on Sunday his country’s revocation of visas for citizens of the Sultanate of Oman wishing to visit Iran.

“Iran’s cabinet has decided to unilaterally revoke entry visas in order to encourage Omani citizens to visit Iran,” Shahroudi told ISNA news agency, adding that the decision is due to enter into force in the next ten days.

On Saturday, Iran witnessed an armed attack during a military parade in the southwestern city of Ahvaz, killing at least 29, most of them from the Iranian Revolutionary Guards.
