TEHRAN, Aug. 19 (YPA) – Iran’s Defense Minister, Amir Hatami, said on Sunday that his country will unveil this week the first locally-made warplane, and will develop its missile defenses to counter American and Israeli threats, according to Tasnim news agency.
Hatami added that his country would unveil the new fighter in Defense Industries Day on Wednesday.
The move came after Washington re-imposed economic sanctions on Iran last week after the US President Donald Trump announced in May his country’s withdrawal from a nuclear deal between Tehran and the world powers in 2015.
