Sanaa forces threaten Saudi Arabia with severe consequences over civilian casualties in Yemen

SANAA, Sept. 22 (YPA) – Brigadier General Yahya Sarie, spokesperson for the Sanaa-aligned armed forces, stated that Saudi warplanes launched 19 airstrikes using F-15 and Typhoon jets over the past 24 hours.

Departing from the Khamis Mushait and Taif airbases, the strikes targeted the provinces of Taiz, Jawf, and Marib, resulting in casualties among civilians, including women and children.

In a statement posted to his Telegram channel, Brig. Gen. Sarie reported that the total number of airstrikes and missile attacks launched by the Saudi-led coalition since the recent escalation began has reached 936. He warned that continued casualties among the Yemeni population would bring severe consequences for Saudi Arabia.

In local incidents, a woman was killed and a man injured today after forces backed by Saudi Arabia fired a mortar shell at the Al-Harir neighborhood in the Salah district of Taiz province.

Additionally, an airstrike carried out yesterday by Saudi warplanes hit the Al-Batin area in the Al-Hazm district of Jawf province, killing a mother and her child while injuring her husband and two other children. In separate Saudi airstrikes on the coastal city of Mocha in Taiz province, 12 civilians were killed or injured.
