Sanaa forces intercept two Saudi fighter jets over Mocha

SANAA, Sept. 16 (YPA) – Sanaa forces announced on Wednesday that their air defenses intercepted two Saudi F-15 fighter jets operating over the skies of Mocha district in Taiz Governorate at 18:40 local time.

According to a statement posted on X by the spokesperson for Sanaa forces, Brigadier General Yahya Sarie, the interception was carried out using locally manufactured surface-to-air missiles.

Sarie noted that the operation forced the two Saudi formations—which had taken off from Khamis Mushait Air Base—to immediately leave the airspace before conducting any hostile actions.
