Sanaa forces deny operations toward Saudi territory, reject Mecca attack claims
SANAA, Nov. 03 (YPA) – Sanaa forces on Tuesday denied carrying out any military operations toward Saudi territory, rejecting Saudi claims regarding an attack targeting the holy city of Mecca.
In an official statement, Sanaa forces said that ongoing battlefield setbacks have caused confusion and disarray within Saudi leadership, leading it to fabricate events and falsely allege an attack on Mecca.
The statement characterized these allegations as a recurring narrative used by Saudi Arabia following military defeats to divert attention from strikes sustained by Sanaa forces on the ground.
It further stated that these setbacks prompted Saudi Arabia to appeal for Israeli enemy intervention against the Yemeni people.
The allegations follow previous statements by Saudi Arabia accusing Sanaa forces of targeting Mecca and Medina—a narrative invoked for the fourth time, which Sanaa forces say aims to mobilize international public opinion against Yemen and conceal air defense failures.
