13 recruits, officers loyal to Tareq Saleh arrested in Taiz Al-Turbah

TAIZ, Sept. 16 (YPA) – Saudi-aligned Islah Party elements have launched a campaign of abductions and the seizure of weapons and military vehicles belonging to 13 recruits and officers loyal to Tareq Saleh in Al-Turbah city, the administrative center of Al-Shamayateen district, south of Taiz.

Rights sources confirmed that armed Islah-affiliated elements raided, in recent hours, the home of an officer identified as Saleh Khaled Saeed Yahya Al-Mawsimi, who is loyal to Tareq Saleh and has lived in Al-Turbah for the past eight years.

The sources said the elements seized his personal vehicle and a military vehicle that had been in his custody and took them to the headquarters of the Islah-affiliated Fourth Mountain Infantry Brigade.

The sources added that Islah elements in Al-Turbah security forces arrested the so-called Engineering Officer of the Fourth Division, affiliated with Saleh, identified as Abdulghani Ahmed Muqbil, who uses the rank of lieutenant colonel, along with 11 of his escorts.

They said the Islah elements seized the personal weapons of Muqbil, who had been one of the officers of the 35th Armored Brigade, as well as those of his escorts and the military vehicle in their custody.

The sources noted that the elements are carrying out a systematic campaign of abuse against officers and recruits loyal to Tareq Saleh in Al-Shamayateen who managed to flee from Mocha to their home areas after Sanaa forces took control of the western coast as far as the Dhubab area.
