Six casualties reported as ammunition truck targeted in Yemen’s Shabwa

SHABWA, Sept. 16 (YPA) – At least three members of Saudi-backed “Emergency” forces were killed and three others critically injured on Wednesday when an ammunition-laden truck was targeted in Yemen’s southern province of Shabwa while en route to Aden.

According to informed local sources in Shabwa, an unidentified strike targeted the arms truck near a checkpoint operated by the “Emergency” forces on the Al-Abr–Shabwa road. The attack resulted in three immediate fatalities and left three personnel with severe injuries.

The sources stated that the vehicle was completely destroyed, triggering continuous secondary explosions of stored ammunition and artillery shells. No group has claimed responsibility for the incident.

The arms shipment had reportedly entered through the Al-Wadeah border crossing with Saudi Arabia, traveling via the Al-Abr route toward its final destination in the southern port city of Aden.
