Yemeni armed forces publish footage of downed Saudi F-15 Fighter Jet in Marib
SANAA, Sept. 16 (YPA) – Yemeni Military Media, affiliated with the Sanaa-based forces, released video footage and images on Wednesday showing what it reported as the wreckage of a Saudi F-15 fighter jet downed over Marib Governorate.
According to a military statement issued earlier in the day, the aircraft was targeted and brought down by a locally manufactured surface-to-air missile while conducting military operations in Marib airspace.

The statement further noted that air defense units intercepted two additional hostile flight formations—comprising F-15 and Typhoon fighter jets—that were reportedly searching for the downed aircraft’s wreckage, forcing them to retreat.
The military command reaffirmed its commitment to protecting national airspace and sovereignty using all available defenses.
