Zionist forces, settlers reportedly attack Palestinians across West Bank

WEST BANK, Aug. 15 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces and settlers reportedly carried out attacks across the occupied West Bank between Friday and Saturday. Separately, three Palestinian fishermen were wounded when Israeli naval vessels and drones fired at their boat west of Gaza City.

A nurse from Sa’ir, who works at Dura Governmental Hospital, was shot by settlers outside his home during an attack on the town.

He suffered spinal injuries and partial paralysis and was transferred from Hebron Governmental Hospital to Al-Ahli Hospital. A girl was also wounded.

In Quds (Jerusalem)), Israeli forces arrested a young man after assaulting him in Silwan’s Batn al-Hawa neighborhood.

They also detained Palestinians in Nablus, Al-Kum, Hizma and near Beit Ummar, where a settler reportedly ran over a man working on his land before Israeli forces detained him.

Israeli forces raided the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound during Friday prayers, searched worshippers’ bags, checked identities and restricted access near the Lions’ Gate and Damascus Gate. Several Palestinians barred from Al-Aqsa prayed outside the Old City. Israeli occupation police also fined vehicles and motorcycles nearby.

Israeli forces closed the Jaba’ checkpoint north of  Quds (Jerusalem), causing severe traffic congestion.

They also raided a hall in Al-Eizariya and assaulted guests, while forces and settlers reportedly attacked the Al-Rajbi family in Silwan. Homes belonging to the Za’atara family in Jabal al-Mukaber were raided to verify a reported self-demolition order.

The Jerusalem municipality forced a Palestinian resident to demolish a sheep shelter in Beit Hanina, north of Jerusalem.

Israeli forces prevented Israeli and foreign activists from reaching three homes in Qusra, south of Nablus, that settlers have reportedly surrounded for about a week.

Around 15 Palestinians, including two children, remain there without regular access to basic necessities.

Settlers reportedly damaged farmers’ property near Ramallah, carried out provocative tours in Jenin and established an outpost on land belonging to Silwad and Deir Jarir.

Zionist Settlers wearing Israeli military uniforms also assaulted electricity company workers, detained two employees and took money from one of them.
