RIYADH, July 25 (YPA) –Violent explosions rocked several regions in Saudi Arabia early Saturday, followed by massive fires and disruptions to air traffic at several airports.
Media outlets reported that a fire broke out in Jizan after explosions were heard in the area.
Saudi media also reported fires and explosions in parts of southern Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Civil Defense announced the activation of an early warning system in Yanbu province to alert residents of an unspecified threat.
Meanwhile, flight-tracking websites showed that flights heading to Riyadh had turned back or entered holding patterns, including a Saudi military transport aircraft.
Earlier, Saudi aircraft launched a series of airstrikes on Yemen’s western Hodeida province, targeting the telecommunications facility in Hodeida city and injuring one worker. The strikes also targeted Kamaran Island, leaving a woman injured.
