GAZA, July 23 (YPA) –The Israeli army continues its violations of the ceasefire agreement on its 287th day, across various areas of the Gaza Strip, carrying out airstrikes and artillery shelling on Palestinian homes, demolishing buildings across several areas.
Palestinian sources reported that the young man Mohammad Abu Shakyan was killed after succumbing to wounds sustained in an Israeli strike that targeted him on Wednesday morning in the Al-Falouja area, west of Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza.
Israeli artillery heavily shelled the Al-Zeitoun and Al-Tuffah neighborhoods east of Gaza City. The Israeli army also demolished several buildings east of Al-Tuffah.
Israeli military vehicles stationed south of Khan Younis opened fire, hitting displaced people’s tents in the Al-Kanis area southwest of the city.
According to Gaza health ministry, Since the ceasefire began (October 11), the total number of fatalities has reached 1,180, in addition to 3,810 injured, while the number of bodies recovered has reached 802.
The total number of Palestinians killed since the beginning of the Israeli war on October 7, 2023, has reached 73,305, with 173,918 injured.
