Israeli enemy adds 194 dunams to seized lands in Jalud and Al-Mughayyir

RAMALLAH, Sept. 08 (YPA) – The Palestinian Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission revealed on Tuesday that the occupation authorities have expanded the boundaries of an old declaration of “state lands” in the lands of the villages of Jalud, south of Nablus, and Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, by adding approximately 194 new dunams.

The Commission explained that the so-called “Blue Line Team” approved the addition of 193.93 dunams to the declaration issued in 1984, while excluding 15.07 dunams and leaving 1,433.85 dunams unchanged. It confirmed that the measure redraws the boundaries of a declaration that is more than four decades old and effectively includes new Palestinian lands.

The Commission linked the expansion to the vicinity of the “Kida” settlement outpost, which the occupation recently approved to be transformed into an official settlement, considering this a mechanism for transforming outposts into settlements with a land reserve that can be expanded.

According to the Commission’s data, there are 592 settlements and outposts in the West Bank, and the occupation authorities control approximately 42% of its area. The number of settlers reached 780,000 by the end of July 2026. The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs also documented more than 1,260 settler attacks since the beginning of 2026, which led to the displacement of more than 300 Palestinians.
