TEHRAN, July 22 (YPA) – Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced on Wednesday that it carried out a large-scale missile and drone attack targeting the King Faisal and Prince Hassan air bases in Jordan, where US troops are stationed.
According to the statement, the operation was executed as part of the 25th wave of the “Nasr-2” campaign.
The IRGC stated that the attack resulted in casualties among US personnel after targeting their living quarters, alongside the destruction of ten American MQ-9 drones, eight of which were reportedly completely destroyed inside a drone preparation hangar.
The statement further indicated that two US heavy helicopters sustained damage, and that an F-15 aircraft preparation hangar was also hit during the operation.
This latest strike escalates tensions between Iran and US forces in the region, following a series of repeated operations claimed by the IRGC in recent weeks amid heightened regional friction.
