Abha Airport is out of service for second day, dozens of flights canceled following Sanaa forces’ warnings
SANAA, July 14 (YPA) – Abha International Airport in southern Saudi Arabia remained closed and out of service for the second consecutive day on Tuesday, resulting in the cancellation of dozens of flights and widespread disruption to scheduled air traffic to and from the airport.
According to flight-tracking websites, the airport’s closure has exceeded 24 hours. Media sources confirmed that approximately 60 flights scheduled for Tuesday were canceled, a development observers view as a significant blow to the peak tourist season in the Kingdom’s southern region.
This escalation follows Saudi airstrikes targeting Sanaa International Airport on Monday, which were subsequently followed by warnings issued by Sanaa forces advising airlines against flying through Saudi airspace.
