Yemen’s Sanaa forces issue new statement regarding Saudi airspace
SANAA, Oct. 15 (YPA) – Sanaa forces military spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree has warned air navigation companies against utilizing Saudi airspace, affirming that years of continuous airstrikes and escalation grant Yemen the full right to self-defense.
In an official statement, Saree reported that Yemen has endured over 274,000 airstrikes across the past twelve years, with the latest escalation accounting for more than 2,350 airstrikes and missile attacks.
Emphasizing that “those who aggress against Yemen should not expect a greeting,” he reiterated warnings to aviation firms regarding flights over Saudi airspace or airports, while explicitly excluding the holy airspace of Mecca and Medina.
Saree maintained that the armed forces possess the capability and the legitimate right to respond, asserting that current military operations are strictly defensive.
The statement concluded by vowing that warnings and military measures will persist until the blockade and aggression against Yemen are fully lifted.
