Jawf tribes declare general mobilization, rejects events linked to Al-Rayyan gathering

JAWF, July 04 (YPA) – Sheikhs and tribes of Dahm of Jawf province have declared their readiness to mobilize and support efforts aimed at the liberation of remaining Yemeni territories, reaffirming their unified stance against any actions that threaten national security and stability.

In a statement, the tribes said that recent gatherings held in the Al-Rayyan area under the pretext of supporting the so-called Hamad Fadgham and a woman claiming to be the daughter of former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein were based on false and weak claims.

They affirmed that those involved in organizing such events are partisan figures and individuals accused of promoting illegal activities, with backing from military and security formations affiliated with coalition forces under Saudi supervision.

The tribes’ statement further accused Hamad Fadgham of misleading public opinion and attempting to associate the Dahm tribe with the case of Sumaya Al-Zubairi, which it described as having been legally addressed.

It said tribal elders had previously reviewed the matter in Sana’a and concluded, based on court rulings issued since 2022, that it involved allegations of forgery and identity impersonation.

According to the statement, Sumaya Al-Zubairi was handed over to her family after the issue was clarified in the presence of tribal representatives.

The Dahm tribes emphasized that individuals present at the Al-Rayyan gathering, including Hamad Fadgham, do not represent the tribe, but rather act in their own capacity and in coordination with a Saudi special committee. The statement declared full disassociation from their actions and positions.

It also rejected road blockades and disruptions to civilian movement, describing such practices as contrary to Yemeni tribal customs and traditions, and reaffirmed opposition to any acts that harm public order or social cohesion.
