Trump threatens 100% tariffs on countries taxing US digital companies

WASHINGTON, June 27 (YPA) – US President Donald Trump threatened to impose 100% tariffs on imports from any country that applies a digital services tax targeting American companies.

Speaking on Truth Social, Trump said that European countries are discussing the immediate implementation of a digital services tax, stressing that any country that adopts it will immediately face 100% tariffs on all its exports to the United States, regardless of existing or future trade agreements.the

The threat comes amid growing controversy in Europe over digital services taxes targeting major American technology companies, after France was one of the first countries to implement them, sparking previous trade tensions with Washington.
