WASHINGTON, June 23 (YPA) – US President Donald Trump stated that his country spends “crazy” amounts on NATO, reaching $600 billion annually, a large portion of which goes to defend Europe against Russia.
Speaking from the White House, Trump said that NATO countries do not support the United States despite it spending hundreds of millions to protect them, especially from Russia.
The alliance announced that its Secretary General, Mark Rutte, will meet with Trump at the White House on June 24, and will meet with senior administration officials and participate remotely in the European E5 summit.
Russian President Vladimir Putin previously explained in an interview with Tucker Carlson that Russia does not intend to attack NATO countries and has no interest in doing so.
