IRGC announces capture of second US drone submarine in Hormuz

TEHRAN, Sept. 27 (YPA) – Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced the capture of a second US-made REMUS 600-class drone submarine in the Strait of Hormuz, in a complex security and intelligence operation coordinated with electronic warfare.

In a statement, IRGC said that its forces ambushed the submarine during a spying mission and that it is now under the control of its experts to extract its data.

It confirmed that the operation was part of monitoring maritime activities in the Strait, warning of strong measures against any dangerous or unauthorized movements, amid ongoing tensions in the Gulf.
