Lebanon death toll from Israeli aggression mounts to 3,798

BEIRUT, June 16 (YPA) – The cumulative death toll from the Israeli aggression against Lebanon has risen to 3,798 killed and 11,798 injured since the start of the latest escalation on March 2, according to Lebanese health authorities.

In its daily statistical report published by the National News Agency, the Lebanese Ministry of Health said that 28 people were killed and 53 others wounded over the past 24 hours alone.

The report also stated that health sector workers have been significantly affected, with 133 killed and 402 injured as a result of 172 recorded the Israeli occupation’s attacks targeting ambulances and medical teams.

Since March 2, Israeli aggression has intensified across Lebanon, with strikes reported on towns, villages, cities, and civilian infrastructure, leading to widespread casualties and the displacement of an estimated 1.5 million people, many of whom remain outside formal shelter systems.

Although a temporary ceasefire came into effect in mid-April, Lebanese authorities say Israeli occupation forces continue to carry out daily violations of the agreement.
