SANAA, June 14 (YPA) – The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in Sanaa, Abdulwahid Abu Ras, held talks with Abdulqader Al-Murtadha, head of the National Committee for Prisoners’ Affairs, to review the latest developments in the prisoner file and ongoing arrangements to implement the recent agreement.
During the meeting, Al-Murtadha briefed Abu Ras on the progress of procedures and steps taken to translate the agreement into practical implementation.
Abu Ras praised the role of the National Committee for Prisoners’ Affairs during recent rounds of negotiations, commending its efforts to advance progress on the humanitarian file.
Both sides emphasized that the prisoner issue remains a priority for the political and leadership authorities in Sanaa, stressing their commitment to implementing the agreement and ensuring its success.
They also expressed hope that progress in the prisoner exchange file would help advance other humanitarian and economic issues, contributing to efforts to end the conflict and ease restrictions in Yemen.
