GAZA, June 11 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces continue to violate the Gaza ceasefire agreement for the 245th consecutive day, according to Palestinian sources. The truce came into effect in October 2025 after more than two years of war in the Gaza Strip.
Since dawn on Thursday, five new ceasefire violations have been reported, mainly in Khan Younis in southern Gaza. The incidents included artillery shelling and gunfire.
Palestinian sources said two people were injured when an Israeli quadcopter drone exploded in the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.
A Palestinian woman was also seriously wounded by fire from an Israeli military drone in the Al-Salateen area of Beit Lahia in northern Gaza, the sources added.
Israeli naval vessels opened fire toward fishing boats off the coast of Khan Younis on Thursday morning, while military vehicles fired at eastern areas of the city. Israeli artillery also shelled locations east of Khan Younis.
On Wednesday, six other ceasefire violations were reported. Several civilians were injured, and one Palestinian died from wounds sustained in an earlier Israeli attack.
The Palestinian Health Ministry said 981 people have been killed and 3,104 injured since October 11, 2025, as a result of ongoing Israeli violations.
According to the ministry, the overall death toll in Gaza since the start of the war on October 7, 2023, has risen to 72,991, while 173,212 people have been injured.
