Hind Rajab Foundation calls on India to arrest Israeli soldier accused of committing war crimes in Gaza

BRUSSELS, June 07 (YPA) – The Hind Rajab Foundation has filed an urgent complaint with Indian authorities, demanding the immediate arrest of Israeli army reservist Eitan Gilboa, who is currently on vacation in Himachal Pradesh.

The complaint, submitted to the Indian police, the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the Immigration Bureau, stems from Gilboa’s involvement in the systematic demolition of residential areas and infrastructure in the Gaza Strip.

According to reports and investigative documents submitted by the Foundation, the soldier—a member of the 271st Combat Engineering Battalion—participated in the bombing and destruction of civilian buildings in various areas of the Gaza Strip, including Khan Younis and Rafah. He documented these operations in videos he filmed and posted himself, celebrating the destruction as acts of revenge.

In its statement, the Foundation emphasized that “India has a legal obligation to act on the suspect,” demanding that strict legal measures be taken against Gilboa.

If he cannot be arrested and brought to trial, the organization called on the Indian authorities to immediately cancel his residency and remove him from Indian territory to ensure that India does not become a safe haven for people involved in war crimes.
