WASHINGTON, June 06 (YPA) – The US State Department has announced its approval of a potential deal to sell Kuwait anti-drone system platforms and related equipment, enhancing Kuwait’s ability to counter threats.
“The estimated total cost is $1.98 billion,” the ministry said in a statement.
The deal includes “Roadrunner-Munchen” and “Anvil-Kinetic” anti-UAV system platforms, launch boxes, networked command-and-control systems, long-range observation towers, naval watchtowers, pulsar-based electromagnetic warfare systems, tactical operations centers, as well as other support equipment and services.
The ministry added that “the proposed deal will enhance Kuwait’s ability to counter current and future threats by providing electronic and kinetic anti-drone capabilities.”
