Sanaa Government Spokesman: Saudi regime crimes against civilians in Yemen will not go unpunished
SANAA, Oct. 28 (YPA) – Sanaa government spokesman Dr. Omar Al-Bukhaiti condemned the massacre committed by the Saudi regime targeting the Al-Hazm market in Jawf Governorate, which resulted in the martyrdom of 14 citizens and the injury of 15 others, including three women, stressing that “the Saudi regime’s crimes against the Yemeni people will not go unpunished.”
In a statement on Wednesday, Al-Bukhaiti explained that targeting the public market at peak shopping hours constitutes a full-fledged war crime and a violation of international charters and norms, aimed at inflicting the maximum damage on civilians. He noted that this crime comes within a long record of targeting markets, mosques, and social events over 12 years of aggression and blockade.
The government spokesman compared the Saudi regime’s crimes against Yemenis to those committed by the Zionist entity against the people of Gaza, while denouncing the silence of complicit organizations and states, foremost among them the United Nations and the Security Council, considering this silence direct participation in legitimizing the aggression.
Al-Bukhaiti concluded by affirming that these crimes will not be erased by the statute of limitations, emphasizing that Yemen and its armed forces are on high alert to confront the aggressor until it stops its illegal aggression and blockade.
