Gaza Health Ministry: 5 killed, 49 injured in 48 hours amid ongoing Israeli aggression

GAZA, June 06 (YPA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced on Saturday that five Palestinians were killed and 49 others injured in the Gaza Strip over the past 48 hours.

In its daily statistical report on casualties resulting from the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza, the ministry said the latest death toll includes two new martyrs, one martyr succumbed to his injuries and one retrieved martyr.

The ministry added that a number of victims are still under the rubble and on the roads, as ambulance and civil defense crews are unable to reach them until now.

It further reported that since the ceasefire on October 11, 2025, the total number of fatalities has reached 951, while injuries have risen to 2,984. A total of 782 bodies have also been recovered from beneath the rubble during the same period.

The ministry added that the cumulative death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 72,961, with 173,092 injuries recorded since October 7, 2023.
