Aden livestock prices skyrocket to record highs, sparking public shock

ADEN, May 20 (YPA) – Livestock prices in Aden’s markets, southern Yemen, have surged to unprecedented, record highs, with prices per head ranging from 170,000 to over 450,000 Yemeni Rials amid noticeable randomness and market disparity.

This frantic price hike has left many residents unable to purchase sacrificial animals due to dwindling salaries and harsh economic conditions.

Consequently, numerous families have refrained from buying livestock altogether, opting instead to purchase meat by the kilogram to match their limited incomes.
