STC accuses Islah Party of turning Taiz’s Al-Turbah into terrorist hub

ADEN, Oct. 03 (YPA) – A political activist affiliated with the Southern Transitional Council (STC) claimed that the Saudi-backed Islah Party, which is affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood organization, has turned Al-Turbah city in Taiz province into a terrorist hub aimed at bringing down the city of Aden in southern Yemen.

Political activist Saeed Bakran said the Muslim Brotherhood, kwon as the Islah Party,  had committed what he described as massacres in the streets of Aden “through injustice and aggression, under the false and deceptive cover of legitimacy, adding that everyone remained silent about those crimes.

In a post on X, Bakran said Al-Hujariyah and its main city had become a center for oppressing Aden and the southern provinces through treacherous terrorist acts.

Addressing Al-Hujariyah’s community leaders, Bakran said: “We used to say that the Muslim Brotherhood had turned Al-Turbah into a center of terror and fear for Aden and the south. You did not listen to us, and we did not even see from you feelings of grief and pain.”

He described the Muslim Brotherhood, which controls those areas, as a harsh, bloody and frightening terrorist organization, arguing that the Islah Party’s continued control of Al-Turbah does not guarantee security and stability in Aden.

Bakran’s post came as Sanaa forces, engaged in fierce fighting with broad popular support, were reportedly approaching Al-Turbah, the administrative center of Al-Shamayateen district in southern Taiz, which has been controlled by Islah Party elements for years.
