Dozens of Zionist settlers storm Al-Aqsa compound amid tight restrictions

QUDS, May 18 (YPA) – Dozens of Israeli settlers stormed on Monday the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque on Monday under the protection of Israeli occupation’s police, according to Palestinian sources.

The Palestinian news agency WAFA affirmed that 263 settlers entered the mosque compound through the Moroccan Gate and performed what were described as Talmudic rituals and provocative tours around the mosque’s courtyards and prayer areas.

Sources said the rituals were carried out in the eastern section of the compound amid heightened security measures and restrictions imposed by the occupation’s police on Palestinian worshippers, including identity checks and searches at the mosque’s entrances.

The incident comes amid a recent increase in settler incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque, while Palestinian groups continue to call for intensified presence at the site in response to ongoing Judaization efforts targeting the holy compound.
