Sanaa, other Yemeni Governorates witness massive rallies in support of Quran, Al-Aqsa, in solidarity with Lebanon
SANAA, May 18 (YPA) – The capital, Sanaa, and several Yemeni governorates witnessed massive popular rallies on Monday under the slogan “In support of the Quran and Al-Aqsa, in solidarity with Lebanon, and confirming high readiness to confront any escalation by the enemy,” amidst broad participation and a remarkable popular turnout.
Crowds flocked to the squares from the early hours, raising copies of the Holy Quran, Palestinian and Lebanese flags, and Hezbollah banners. Chants echoed condemning the repeated insults to the Holy Quran, supporting Palestine and Lebanon, and rejecting US and “Israeli” policies in the region.
Participants condemned the global silence regarding the repeated attacks on the Holy Quran and Islamic holy sites, calling on Arab and Islamic nations to take widespread action to confront the desecrations of holy sites and counter the Zionist project.
The participating crowds reaffirmed their adherence to the faith-based and moral stance in supporting the causes of the nation, foremost among them the Palestinian cause, declaring high readiness to face any potential escalation in the coming period.
