Fatah al-Intifada warns of “religious explosion” due to escalating occupation violations in Al-Aqsa

OCCUPIED QUDS, May 14 (YPA) – The Fatah al-Intifada movement in occupied Palestine warned on Thursday that the escalating violations by the Israeli occupation at the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque signal a “detonation of the situation in the region” and threaten to drag it into an “open religious conflict.”

In a press statement, the movement explained that repeated Israeli incursions, the performance of public rituals, and the raising of flags within the courtyards of Al-Aqsa are taking place amid a “suspicious international silence.” It characterized these practices—alongside crimes in the West Bank and ceasefire violations in the Gaza Strip—as dangerous indicators of further escalation.

The movement stressed that targeting holy sites constitutes a “deliberate provocation of Muslim sentiments,” affirming that the Palestinian people and resistance forces will continue to defend their sanctities and national rights “by all possible means.” It held the occupation fully responsible for the repercussions of this ongoing escalation.
