BEIRUT, May 10 (YPA) – Three people, including two paramedics, were killed and several others injured on Sunday after Israeli occupation’s airstrikes on southern Lebanon.
Local sources said the strikes targeted the towns of Qalawiya, Tibnin, and Qatrani, amid continued violations of the temporary ceasefire agreement.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese Ministry of Health affirmed in a statement that the occupation forces had continued to breach international law and humanitarian standards by directly targeting medical teams.
The ministry added that two separate strikes hit facilities affiliated with the Islamic Health Authority in Qalawiya and Tibnin, in the Bint Jbeil district.
According to the ministry, one paramedic was killed and three others wounded in Qalawiya, while another paramedic was killed and two others injured in Tibnin.
Separately, Lebanon’s National News Agency reported that an Israeli airstrike on the outskirts of the town of Qatrani, in the Jezzine district, resulted in one fatality and several injuries.
Since March 2, the occupation forces have intensified military operations across Lebanon, targeting towns, villages, cities, and civilian infrastructure. Lebanese authorities said the attacks have caused thousands of casualties and displaced nearly 1.5 million people.
Although a temporary ceasefire agreement came into effect in mid-April, Lebanese officials accused the occupation of carrying out daily violations of the truce.
