Iranian Army: Washington’s partners in sanctions against us will face difficulties in crossing Strait of Hormuz
TEHRAN, May 10 (YPA) – Iranian Army spokesman Brigadier General Akrami Nia confirmed the strengthening of military capabilities and the modernization of the strategic target bank, warning countries participating in the US sanctions of the difficulties they will face in crossing the Strait of Hormuz.
He explained that Iran proved its military capabilities and resilience, carrying out offensive and defensive operations, and that the enemy was ultimately forced to agree to a ceasefire after failing to break the resolve of the Iranian armed forces.
He stressed that Tehran never trusts the enemy regarding a ceasefire.
Nia revealed that the Iranian Air Force carried out sorties at the beginning of the war, with its fighter jets reaching American bases in Kuwait, Qatar, and Erbil, successfully returning safely.
On the maritime front, he asserted that the claim of a blockade against Iran aims to undermine its management of the Strait of Hormuz through propaganda, noting that Iranian maritime trade is proceeding smoothly and that only a few ships have been detained, according to international reports. He also pointed to the success of Iranian forces in preventing the passage and activity of Israeli vessels and in detaining them.
He concluded by emphasizing the failure of hostile objectives to destabilize the regime’s political balance, and that the pressures have strengthened internal unity and cohesion.
