GAZA, Aug. 09 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation army continued to violate the ceasefire agreement, launching artillery shelling and machine gun fire on various areas east of the Gaza Strip on Sunday morning.
Palestinian sources reported that occupation tanks fired heavily east of Gaza City and in the Shakoush area north of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.
Artillery shelling also targeted the northern areas of the Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, and the vicinity of the Sanfour intersection east of the Tuffah neighborhood in Gaza City.
At sea, Israeli warships fired towards the coast of Gaza City and from the sea off Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
This comes amidst ongoing violations, with nearly 1,200 citizens killed and thousands injured since the ceasefire agreement came into effect on October 11th.
