BEIRUT, May 07 (YPA) – The Islamic resistance in Lebanon said on Wednesday that its fighters carried out a series of operations against Israeli occupation’s military vehicles and troop gatherings across several locations in southern Lebanon, using drones, rockets, and artillery shells.
According to its military media, a “Nimera” armored vehicle was struck on Al-Raj Hill in Deir Siryan with a drone attack, setting it on fire.
The statement added that an evacuation helicopter arrived to transport casualties, before the evacuation force itself was targeted with artillery fire, amid reports of Israeli soldiers withdrawing from the area.
It also said it targeted military Israeli bulldozers, including a D9 in Houla and another vehicle near the Khiam area, claiming direct hits in separate strikes. Additional attacks reportedly hit the occupation’s troop concentrations in Al-Qantara, Taybeh, and Bayada, as well as a military vehicle in Taybeh, causing casualties.
Further operations included artillery shelling of troop gatherings near Bayada, drone strikes on a Israeli command center in Al-Qantara, and attacks on vehicles in Deir Siryan, Al-Dawawir in Houla, and Al-Qawzah. Rocket fire was also used against a military gathering in Rashaf, alongside drone attacks on equipment and vehicles in other positions.
The statement said these operations were carried out in response to continued occupation’s strikes on southern Lebanese villages and alleged violations of the ceasefire, adding that they have resulted in both military and civilian casualties.
