Iran executes two people convicted of spying for Mossad

TEHRAN, May 02 (YPA) – Iranian authorities carried out the death sentences of Yaquob Karimpour and Nasser Bakirzadeh this Saturday, following their convictions for “Sowing Corruption on Earth” and intelligence cooperation with the Israeli Mossad, in a decisive legal move.

According to the Iranian judiciary, the defendants’ activities involved high-level sabotage and espionage. Karimpour was found guilty of orchestrating sonic bombings, photographing military installations, and recruiting operatives for subversive acts—including the dissemination of false reports intended to destabilize security forces. Meanwhile, Bakirzadeh was convicted of gathering sensitive data on strategic and nuclear sites—notably the Natanz facility and Chabahar ports—while providing Mossad with detailed mapping of vital infrastructure and leadership figures.

These executions come as Tehran intensifies its domestic security crackdown on alleged espionage networks, a response fueled by a series of high-profile attacks and assassinations targeting nuclear facilities and military commanders over the past year.
